Lara Logan

 Lara Logan was born 29 March 1971. She is a South African journalist, radio and television journalist. Between 2002 and the year 2018, she was an CBS News correspondent. Jeff Fager, executive producer of 60 Minutes, called her biased and inaccurate story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most serious mistake in my 10 years." She joined Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media company) in 2019. In January of 2020, she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News. She stated she was "dumped” by the network in March 2022. Logan was an assistant news reporter at Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she joined Reuters Television in Africa, mostly as a senior producer. After four years, she began freelance journalism. Assignments as a reporter/editor/producer for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all assigned to her. CNN was her home, where she covered events like 1998's United States embassy bombings, in Nairobi and Tanzania. Additionally, she covered the ongoing conflict between Northern Ireland and Kosovo.
